⊳ Anna Zhang: Mean Hand Font. An open source font made from compiling a lot of handwriting samples from the Maryland/Washington D.C. area in the early 90s.
⊳ Pen America: Nonfiction Banned Book List: Schools Banning More History, Health, Memoir and More. At the end of last year, I read Thigs Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe because it had been slated by my former school district to be banned. It was never on the curriculum at my schools, and I wasn't a big reader growing up, so it hadn't shown up on my radar earlier.

Site Updates

I updates the blogroll page again to put my button higher up and to add a few more blogs! So exciting to find new corners of the internet. I'm not the best at keeping track of whether or not I follow someone's profile page, though. It's something I must become sharper with.

I am also in the middle of making a gallery page and it has been really difficult. I think what it boils down to is I should download VSCode or something and try to get a better handle on re-doing the whole site from scratch rather than working from a pre-made theme, so I get more knowledge and overall control of how the site works.

I've made a sitemap, as well as added some CSS properties to it using this tutorial. I tried to make my rss feed look cute as well, but rage quit like 10 minutes in... I also made a robots.txt page using this tutorial on blocking AI bots. It's not as complicated as I thought, though it doesn't truly block the bots so much as it asks them to not scan the site.

Craft Progress

I, once again, spilled coffee on Empoleon. Don't ask how. I guess my hands are made of butter. Again, it washed out nicely and dried fast, so it didn't impede my progress necessarily- it just impeded my already-draining motivation.

Reading Updates

I'm pretty close to finishing Between the World and Me

Tangentially, I gave up on goodreads a long while ago, and I used to have a pretty detailed spreadsheet of books I've read, but that's long gone too. I think I'd like to add a "TBR" list to my reading page.
