Weekly Roundup Maybe

20260408 - Wednesday

I'm making this first roundup-style post because while I've been re-learning HTML and updating my site a lot lately (can you tell I'm unemployed...), I've found so many websites that I want to keep tabs on that don't necessarily have a spot on the "Blogs I Like" page. I'll also be including a small updates on crafts, wesbite, and studying progress くコ:彡

Links Galore!

Mariko Handmade: A crochet blog with an extensive Animal Crossing portfolio!
British Hedgehog: Cross stitch Pokemon :-)
Oopsie Doodle: A very pretty blog with a knitting portfolio.
pepperblooms: Art and a cat shrine!
Val K Wise: More art!
Vulpecula>: A pretty site with pretty photos.
Peri: Archaeology blog that might be abandoned?
Archaeo Social: Webring of archaeologists
Wayward Web: Webring of sites linking to various other sites. Not a great description but there's heaps to go through!
Brisray Webring List: Something to infinitely scroll through & maybe see about applying to a few...
Simon Tatham's Portable Puzzle Collection : Small & easy games, including a 4-color map puzzle (see: Crafting Updates).

likematches Updates

I made a button for my site! I used Pixilart to make it. What really took forever for me was trying to figure out how to display the HTML so that others are able to add it to their own sites. That being said, I didn't come up with the prettiest solution... Either way, I'm pretty happy with it.

I also added a new section to the Site Info page with some fun facts about myself.

Crafting Updates!

Not much to report right now because I've been focusing so much of my time on the blog. However, I've made it through a good chunk of the Filet Ancien pattern that I've been cross stitching! Also, it's not the most interesting thing in the world, but this is the first pattern I've done where I've actually printed it instead of following along digitally. I think I prefer it? It's definitely more portable if needs be, and I really enjoy coloring the blocks in as I go. If you've ever tried to fill a map using only 4 colors, it's like that.

Japanese Study Progress

I have not been keeping up very well with studying lately. My excuses aren't great either, there's just some big yucky personal hurdles that have always been in the way of my ability to truly focus on learning Japanese in particular. Shrug.

Some thoughts: もうに春です。でも、いつも、何でも天気は、外に嫌いな行けば。

That's all I have for this week- thanks for reading & please say hi on my profile.
